After more than four years in the making, the collection of seven Italianate style residences known as the Chestnut Row Homes is ready to welcome its first tenants to the southwest corner of Clark and Chestnut Streets.

Crossing the intersection of Chestnut and Clark, it’s near impossible to miss the whir of construction in the area. The neighborhood is just one of many downtown witnessing a dramatic uptick in new housing, typically in the form of tall, slender towers packed with small units.

Empirical brewery is closing their Rogers Park Brew Pub mid-October, leaving prime commercial space available for lease at 1330 W. Morse Ave. According to Empirical ownership, the company has decided to refocus their resources on beer distribution.
